Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use the Rakan app and website. By creating an account or using Rakan, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Rakan.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Rakan.
- Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Your username cannot be changed after it is created, and must not impersonate another person or brand.
2. Your content
You own the photos and videos you post. By posting, you give Rakan a limited licence to store, process and show that content to the people you share it with, only for the purpose of running the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
3. What is not allowed
- Content that is illegal, sexually explicit, violent, hateful, or that harasses or bullies others.
- Content involving minors in any harmful or sexual way.
- Posting other people's private information or content you do not have the right to share.
- Spam, scams, fake accounts, or trying to break, overload or misuse the service.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. You can report content or accounts to us at any time.
4. The service
We work to keep Rakan available and secure, but the service is provided "as is" and may change, be interrupted or have errors. We may add, change or remove features.
5. Ending your account
You can stop using Rakan and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
6. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Rakan is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content posted by other users.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. We will post changes on this page and update the date above. Continuing to use Rakan after a change means you accept the new terms.
